Remington Flyers Track Team
The Flyers Track Team was founded in April 1986. Over the years,
the Flyers have developed several superior runners, field event athletes,
and race walkers who often move on to New Rochelle High School’s Varsity
program. Some have become regionally, nationally and internationally
recognized for their success. Track and field training is provided in
shot put, race walk, high jump, long jump, javelin, road racing, relays,
sprints, hurdles and discus.
The Flyers program develops each athlete’s unique talents, both on
and off the track. Relying primarily on volunteers, the coaches and
parents work hard to help the young athletes focus more on self improvement
through hard work and shared effort and less on winning.
The Flyers are members of the Long Island Association (TAC) and the
National Age Group Track and Field Association of America. Additional
fees apply.
Boys and Girls Hoops
For years the Club has provided a home to the young players of New
Rochelle and surrounding communities. From afternoon choose-up games
to quality leagues and tournaments this is a place where children can
come to play.
Both the Remington and Mascaro Unit gyms have full size basketball
courts and children of all ages and abilities can learn to play. Elementary,
middle and high school teams for the Remington Rebels and the Mascaro
Magic are established every fall to compete in both home and away games.
Quality coaching is always the benchmark of our teams. Dedicated
men and women volunteer their time and expertise to challenge young
players to extend their best effort in support of the team. Additional
fees may apply.
Cheerleading
Members learn the art of cheerleading from experienced coaches and
have the opportunity to cheer for our elementary and middle school basketball
teams. Additional fees may apply.
Soccer
Members have the opportunity to learn the game from experienced coaches
and compete in intramural games. Additional fees may apply.
