August E. Mascaro Clubhouse

The August E. Mascaro Clubhouse is the oldest Boys & Girls Club in New Rochelle. We serve over 500 kids yearly and facilitate dozens of BGCA national programs including: Power Hour, Torch Club, Healthy Habits, Passport to Manhood and Smart Girls. The signature program for Mascaro would be Torch Club. Torch Club is a chartered small-group program for leadership and service. Civics Day is a cornerstone of Torch Club that allows our members to understand their government and their personal civic responsibilities. Through our partnership with the The New Rochelle Youth Bureau, the City of New Rochelle and the Westchester County Legislator.

Mascaro Clubhouse also hosts special events throughout the year. This includes our holiday party, Thanksgiving Day Parade, Easter celebration, our Cinco De Mayo event, and many other events that further impact our members. We try to cultivate a place for kids to not only have fun, but also to learn. Learning not only about Math or STEM but also to learn about life skills, manners, accountability, current events, and the importance of giving back. I was a member of the Mascaro clubhouse from Age 6-14 and have been an employee since I was 18 years old. The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has been a constant in my life. My main goal is to positively impact the members of my clubhouse the way the Mascaro has positively impacted me when I was a kid.
