88th Civics Day teaches New Rochelle students about citizenship
Students spent the day taking over City Hall and filling positions of local government

"...New Rochelle High School 9th grader Juan Ruiz Diaz was elected mayor for the day, saying, "It seemed important, I guess, to be a shadow of the mayor of New Rochelle to see like what the mayor does in his daily basis."

William Iannuzzi, Director of the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle said "Civics Day is a great example of character, citizenship, and civics and that is an amazing thing to teach the kids in New Rochelle.”

Remington Unit Groundbreaking Ceremony (12/20/2016)

"The Renovation project at the Remington Unit has truly been a community effort over a span of many years. While it is finally coming to fruition, past board members have remained steadfast in their support. The  executive board and I would like to extend a special thank you to our former board president David McCabe for his continued counsel and support throughout this past year. You truly made the difference in moving this forward. We would also like to thank out immediate past board president Candace Pinn for keeping this project at the forefront of the board's agenda."
