Brendan Clark has been part of the Boys & Girls Club for six years. The commitment he has shown to the organization truly reflects the impact he has made, not only in members, but in the community as well. He began as a Youth Development Professional where he fulfilled his goal in creating a fun and safe environment. Within the organization, Brendan was a basketball coach for three years where he was able to foster lasting friendships, encouraged team building, and of course created lasting memories for the children. Coaching is still a love that he continues today. He feels that coaching contributes to children’s Life-Skills and Character Building.
Mr. Clark attended Iona College receiving his Bachelors in Finance and minor in Speech Communication. From his experiences in these fields, his vision as Director of Central School is to give the children the opportunity to find their voice. It is important to instill a sense of autonomy and ownership in our youth in order to build self- confidence. Brendan’s mission for this school year is to be able to tap into every members interests and allow them to own their passions. He plans to implement programs that encourage character and leadership, the arts, healthy and life styles, academic success, and sports and recreation.
